Most of us who have been with LaG since day 1 know the name of the game that started it all for LaG: Unreal Tournament. I'm proud to say that 10 years later, LaG.UT is still alive and kicking amongst it's remaining community.

Recently Livid and Gifted's UT division was invited to a CTF tournament - which we excitedly took part in, even if it was in bad timing for most of us. And tonight - for the first time since 2004 - LaG.UT takes it's first win in a tournament match.

We had an incredible line-up to start with; LaG|tylahz (D/Mid): an experienced UT player with a strong reputation in the TDM community and even stronger skills to show for: LaG|Kalamazoo(Support): an old time CTF player who most people know as echovale: LaG|jay666(FlagRunner): one of the speedpug regulars, this Quebeker can run flags like no other, and myself(Defense): I'll remain modest and say that I hung in, but no one left my base with my flag unless they had under 25 health ;)

In all honesty, these guys had such a strong offense and mid support that I barely had to deal with defense - and when I did - you could almost smell the intimidation on them. They had too much going on to even hope to break the middle should they get our flag that far. LaG.UT hasn't even played a match together as a team; our opponents BLS have played together fairly often, I am happily surprised that we've won both matches.

Shout-outs go to team BLS as well - things didn't go well in the first scheduling of the match: they didn't have enough players so instead of having a forfeit seal the deal, we allowed a rematch. Upon rematch time though, tables were turned and it was LaG who was short, but by 1 player. BLS team were kind enough to let us play 4v4, and have proven to be a great team to play against.
