Doom Lord Kazzak = Dead

This one is going to have to be filed in the "stuff we should have done a long time ago" category, because we are WAY overdue for having attempted / killed Doom Lord Kazzak. As such, the kill doesn't fit into my normal story format (believe or not there is somewhat of a plan behind those things). So, let's just let it ride this time and rest easy in the knowledge that we've killed yet another boss for the first time in 2008.

High Astromancer Solarian Baffled!

In a surprise move, LaG announced that they will begin helping the Shattrath University research aimed at unraveling the secrets of Tempest Keep. As a show of support, LaG headed into Tempest Keep to question some of the leaders found their about their place in the world.

The first stop, as always, was to see our good friend Void Reaver. His motorcycle riding impersonation never gets old to us. After our laughs with Void Reaver, we headed deeper into Tempest Keep to find out what High Astromancer Solarian knew about some rumors we have been hearing.

The rumors began a few weeks ago, around the time we began our in depth investigation into Serpentshrine Cavern. The mumblings were picked up by our intelligence officer, Dixxie. Apparently, the crime syndicate that controls the area had begun to refer to a "Bug Lord" in our midst. Of course, none of us were aware of said insect deity (or arachnid deity for that matter) and we have been most curious to find out more.

Dixxie recommended that we consult High Astromancer Solarian, after all, with a name that fancy surely she would know more about such simple things as nicknames.

As it turns out, High Astromancer Solarian was baffled by the question. And, rather than admit her ignorance she insisted upon slinging Grashly 200 yards into the air, causing him to sprain his ankle during his landing. Of course, we didn't take too kindly to this unprovoked attack and we spent the next 6 minutes or so in heated debate with Ms. Solarian. In the end, she admitted we were right, that she was, in fact, ignorant.

Leotheras rolls over!

As we push further into Serpentshrine Cavern we have continued to have the feeling that someone is in charge who has yet to be mentioned. Tonight we found out who that was.

All of the small-time thugs and illegitimate business owners we have run into so far have told us that "Leotheras is the man in charge..." So we made an appointment to have a talk with Mr. Leotheras ourselves.

The line of questioning we would use was hotly debated prior to our meeting, but we settled on starting the questioning off with a bit "WTF is up in here?" which was a recommendation by our resident interrogation strategist, Jenjaba.

When we finally arrived at the predetermined location to have a chat with Leotheras it was quickly apparently that he was into some pretty freaky stuff. The scene was... not meant for children. Undaunted, we sent three of our finest in to ask our questions.

Initially Leotheras ignored us and instead had his thugs attempt to dispatch us. We finally convinced them that we had followed the proper channels to make an appointment, however, and were granted court with Leotheras. After several minutes of Leotheras switching between attacking us and changing forms in an attempt to convince us that he was someone else we finally got the truth out of him. There was a female in charge of the entire operation, in fact, she was in charge of everything illegal that had been going on in Zangarmarsh for written history. They had devised a scheme so diabolical that we hesitate to mention it here for fear of being charged with defamation. So, instead of listing what we've learned second-hand we will continue our investigation into Serpentshrine and follow up on the leads that Leotheras gave us.

Onward and upward... quite literally!

Fathom-Lord Karathress Busted!

It just doesn't stop for Serpentshrine Cavern. LaG has been working to bring law and order back to the maligned SSC neighborhood for almost a full two months now. In that time everything from an illegal car wash to a giant dwarf fetish prostitution ring has been shut down. But as crime normally goes, the deeper you dig the dirtier the situation becomes.

After getting reports that all of our old friends had not only returned to Serpentshrine but had, yet again, set up their businesses we decided to have a look. The reports were true, but as before we were able to make quick work of shutting down all of the illegal activity we had previously thwarted. To be honest, we're beginning to wonder if these guys don't just give up when they see us coming, because the challenge is greatly decreased.

This time was different. We were introduced to a new villain in the plot, none other than the self proclaimed "Fathom-Lord" Karathress. Best known for his antics in a high school ring of car thieves, Karathress has apparently turned to a life of more organized crime. At least, that's what Karathress would have you believe.

The scene we found in Karathress' lair was disturbing to say the least. According to LaG Senior Member Khamul, who somehow ended up with Karathress' pants at the end of the night, "Doing blow off of a hookers stomach is a crime, sure, but it isn't the sort of crime a real crime boss would be into. It seems as if Karathress has convinced all of his cronies that he's this tough monster, but the simple fact is that he's no tougher than a 14 year old girl!"

True to Khamul's words, Karathress' thugs were much, much tougher than "he." We dispatched Karathress immediately to child protective services, but we all have a sneaking suspicion that he'll be back on the street running a band of small time criminals again in the future... kind of like Mike Tyson.

Welcome New Blood!

Today Bornakk announced that there will be free transfers opened up to Zuluhed from several of our favorite realms (we still love you Burning Blade).

To those folks who are considering Zuluhed, it's worth it! A low population server only sucks if you do! ;)

To those who have already headed to the new (greener?) pastures, welcome, we're glad to have you! To those Alliance who are transferring... PLEASE LEAVE SHATTRATH ON OCCASION no matter what the "Zulu vets" tell you!

As timing would have it, LaG has actually announced that we are currently recruiting a few people. Those who are new to Zuluhed may not know just how coveted those spots are, so we'd love to hear from you if you're looking for a fun group of people to play WoW with.
