The inaugural season of Counter-Strike Source in the Cyber Amateur
League has posed a difficult transition for many teams previously
competing in the upper Counter-Strike 1.6 leagues. This however has not
been true for our Source team, who after a difficult first match loss
has gone five straight matches undefeated. The record of 5-1-0 is a
difficult thing to obtain in a league whose Open division has
historically been plagued with teams that have moved up to Intermediate
or Main only to reform and rejoin Open. This high level of competition
present in the CSS Open division has posed little threat but allowed us
to up our game through preparation and dedication. |

LaG CS
joined CAL-O after taking the months of November and December to recoup
from our first year of competitive play. Last year we played for a few
weeks in CAL but were forced to drop as we could not get our schedules
aligned to let us continue playing in OGL and CAL. This year we dropped
OGL and ran full bore into CAL-O with 1 objective in mind, CAL-IM. We
have had 2 preseason and 2 season matches. We lost a preseason early
and were down but with lots of work were able to pull a win and
revitalize our team. Now after two season matches we have pretty much
shut down the competition. Our first match was an incredible victory on
probably our worst map. (nuke). We shut out the opponent (Team MX)
24-0. We then followed up that victory on another difficult map
(de_cpl_fire) with a 22-2 victory of Clan FU.
Currently we are looking for 1 additional player to join our roster.
This player is going to have to be very strong and preferably have
CAL-IM experience.
Current Lineup: LaG|Biggus. LaG|Weener, LaG|Cactaur, LaG|BriGhtEyeS, LaG|Doc, LaG|Serpent |

Even though it may seem like we aren't alive, the CS team continues to
stay active. Our CS team has come a long way in just under a year, and
it continues to grow.
We started the first few months just preparing for league/ladder play.
WIth Weener as our driving force we built a very strong foundation of
players. With our system for recruiting we have been able to find only
serious and commited players. Since most of us work not wasting time on
ppl who "clan-hop" helps out alot. |

The much anticipated first OGL league match has come and gone for team
Bravo. As expected, team Bravo’s hard work and dedication allowed them
to emerge victorious. The first round EE elected to be CT’s first and
since T is our weaker side we elected to play the first half on our
server. After the half EE had only managed to only pull 3 rounds
leaving us with 10 wins. After changing over to their server and
ironing out the configuration issues, we began what were probably our
best 13 rounds of play since we started the CS division. Every player
worked his position for the maximum results and allowed us to bring
home 12 rounds for the CT half making the final score 22-4. |
