I emailed Newegg.com about getting my wife's computer part late (even though they say in the email, that it was on time) and this was the response I got:

Quote
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting Newegg.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for this misunderstandings.  As stated on our website, we don't offer weekend shipment.  Therefore if you place an order on a Friday and it is for next day shipping your order will not be received until the next business day, which in your case, would have been Monday 3/20/06.  If you had paid for the 3 day instead you would not have received your order until 3/22/06 which would be 2 business days.

We again apologize for any misunderstandings, however we are willing to make a one time exception and issue a refund back to your account in the amount of $15.00 for the partial shipping costs of your item, since you did in fact receive it on time.  We ask that you please allow 3-5 business days for this transaction to finalize and the funds to become fully available.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQs (http://www.newegg.com/CustomerService/FAQHome.asp) page.

Thank you,

Melissa Cervantes

I am pleased Smiley

I love Newegg.  Good to see they're still keeping their customer service ahead of the industry.  It's been so long since I had an issue with them that I had no idea whether it had gone to crap (ala Dell) or whether they had kept it up.  Good stuff.
