This topic was inspired by Deliverence's thread about gaming memories.
This might be a semi-long post so I'll try to keep it interesting.

Six years ago, I discovered a game called Unreal Tournament and fell in love with it immediately.
I idled on Unreal Tournament's official IRC network www.utgames.com where I first met what is to me the best clan there is: Livid and Gifted.
Somehow I ended up in LaG's IRC channel and after getting to know all of its 8 or 9 members, a tryout was on the way and I was recruited into the clan.
That day began one of the most gratifying experience i've had in any social relationship.
What makes that relationship so great is the fact that most or all of us in LaG accepted everyone for who they were, creating a bond between us that seemed, was and still is, authentic, strong and true.

I've spent countless days and nights at my computer sharing with others. Sometimes we fought, sometimes we laughed. We've lost together, we've won together, and under LaG and its circumstances we walked the same road together and had a blast doing it.
It wasn't only about the game. To me, the game was just the door that lead us all into the same room. It's what happened in that room that forms one of my best experiences.

Unfortunately, I lost touch with LaG and my friends, but I always poped in they're IRC channel every once in a while to wave my hand. LaG is one of the most inspiring group i've ever encountered with amazing people that forms its core. I'll always cherrish the memories for they are dear to me.

Also, I'm really excited that the clan still thrives today, with different members but always the same philosophy. S3VYN has proven to be one of the greatest clan leaders and continues to prosper in what he does. Mind you he was provided with 1337 members like us to complete it. Makes me think of that movie about baseball, "If you build it, they will come."
Lol.

Anyways, thnx for reading if you did and I hope you could relate to it in some way.
Finally, I  want to give a shoutout to some friends I've made in LaG:

Awesome post man.  I could write my own little story about this group of people, but all of those who know me know how I feel...not to mention the fact I think you summed everything up pretty well.  I haven't actually played a game competitively in who knows how long, but that's because I'm really just here for the people.  My hat goes off to all of you guys who have stuck around for years and years and I thank/welcome all of the folks who I have not met, but are the reason this clan continues to grow.

It's great to have you back around se7...don't be disappearing anymore.  Here's one for the old schoolers!
