I was just wondering if we could start posting tactics for maps and weapon types.  I know there are some very basic and obvious tactics, but I also am aware that some of you know these maps  and weapons really well and maybe able to shed some light that I might have missed.  Due to school I don't get to play enough to analyze the maps and builds as I would like.  Group tactics that work in this game would be really great, too.

gold ak 47 + acog scope, on like... any map. rocks!

information u ask?! uhhh, bomb squad, uav jammer, dead silence, and mp5 with a silencer on vacant works pretty darn well, no1 will ever know where you are, if your carefull enough youll get the 1st shot and u win   (i play this dumb game on my xbox, not compy by the way)

Come to the darkside of Pc gaming!  I actual prefer a m16 with a supressor, jammer, dead silence.   If you need more than 3 shots to kill someone in hardcore your dead already.  I am surprised more people don't use smoke grenades either.  Great for confusion and misdirection.  I will have to try your ak and scope when I get it.  hehe I am still not even close to unlocking everything!

my compy wont run this game wayyyy too fancy XD  but i just like to point out that i actually got the golden paint for my AK-47 gun, its sooo hotness, people pick it up when i die, and are like, "wtf how do u do that?!" and i love it XD  plz note it takes forever to get 150 headshots with all the assault rifles... the G3 and mp44 were the worst >< omg

i say a nice m4 carbine and on the side weapon would be a sniper rifle

overkill all day

with stun grenades

and make sure it u got extra ammo

Switch those up deli. Make the sniper your main and p90 your secondary, so you get the gillie suit.

The only way to get to know the maps is to play them and try different tactics. If you have specific questions we can answer them but it's hard to think about every map. Plus everyone plays differently so what we may do (ie. rushing, camping, sound whoring etc.) may not work for someone else. But next time we play just remind me to tell you about some of the good spots I like to use.

i think the 2 games, on xbox and compy r the same.. may be wrong, but what u say Dooms about switching he p90 and sniper, so u get the bush outfit, also works backwards too. i mean that, ur moving speed goes down. Whatever ur 1st guns mobility reading is, is how u move, ur 2nd gun from Overkill doesnt effect it.  i went shotgun and M60, only to use the m60 as my 1st gun. do that and extreme conditioning, and people wont know wtf is goin on, cuz ur moving across the map at crazy speeds, with the heaviest guns there are :p

but if people want strategy ideas, i made my "sneaky" class, i like it a bunch works good on close maps like Vacant. Mp5 + silencer, i do bomb squad (shows claymores with a big SKULL, no dieing from them anymore...) UAV jammer, and Dead Silence, so no1 will EVER know where you are, and if your sneaky enuff, ull see them first, and on  hardcore mode... 1 shot normally means u die. so get the jump on people and rock socks :p

on another note.. i normally use bandolier as my 1st perk, only cuz i kinda shoot the wall alot, before i hit the people XD

I am a fan of the ak acog...tried it tonight.  Good call Dixxie.  I will be honest, I love using c4 on the bomb areas because everytime someone tried to plant...boom!

ive tried the acog scope on every gun (yes even the lil mini uzi) and its horrible, HORRIBLE.. imo, on everything but the AK47, dono why, but the feel of it is different to me. my only bad thing about the Acog scopes, is before COD4, i was RB6 vegas, and the acog was perfect on 90% of the guns, it didnt "wiggle" like the COD4 ones seem to do, like it floats when u try to aim, on Vegas it was solid, u aimed, the bullets went there, easy. on Cod it lowers ur accuracy, which i dont get, cuz its a scope... im not a gun fancy person, but i thought scopes fixed aiming problems, if not...whatever :p

 and donnie #2 (thats u arne :p)  i know what u mean with C4 on the bomb sites, but id rather toss 1 thru a window or over a wall and bomb people :p makes me laugh so much... like on Disctrict, near bombsite A i think, in the middle between the 2 stair places, u can fling 1 into the lil windows where people snipe, and u dont have time to run away!

Played Headquarters last night, on Shipment of all maps omg... i got to 98 kills  and 76 deaths, 1 air strike kills practically everyone on the map, its so fun on that tiny map, i used the RPD with the grip, and the stopping power one with the accuracy shooting thing. just shooting randomly gets kills cuz u cant really miss XD

for some odd reason...I have been doing really well with the acog and g3.   I can't explain it, but its been working for me.  I have had about 4 people ask me why the hell I am using the acog with a g3. Since I started using it I haven't had one game under 500.  I probably just f-ed myself!

ACOG's are good on any gun really. Except obviously for the snipers cause that just defeats the purpose. =P
