gear, and possible upgrades

a friend showed me this website today, its pretty awesome at telling you whats possible upgrades for you, and suprisingly, alot of gear that u think is better than somethings, actually isnt as youll see....

some of the things it gave me for gear upgrades, are from the new patch, such as badge gear for example. All you do is check off possible places to get things from, like uncheck the box for BT/hyjal, since we arnt able to go there atm, and click submit. then click thru the lists of item places and see where you stand and how u can improve things, it even tells u what gems u can use to maximize dps, i think its kinda nifty.

oh oh and please note.. i think it uses other things from the new patch besides badge items listen, it shows pally ret t4/5, with the new stats, not the current ones in game. i dont know about other class stuff though.

Its a useful website, but dosent take hit rating into account for warriors (so the numbers are kinda skewed)

i like how u can pick and choose what it lists. like for us, we dont do BT or hyjal, and some people dont arena alot, or may not be able to craft certain things (like the goggles seem to be high on the list of best dps hats), i dono the math or what exactly the "dps" it comes up with all means, but i understand the bottom where it says what gear is better with what gems, its nice in my opinion

Several weeks ago I think. 

But anyway, if you just look at all the gear from SSC/TTK/v2.4 badges that you don't have already, some could be upgrades.  I suggest everyone look on their class forums and figure out how to tell if an item really is an upgrade though.  Sometimes when the stats are different (like ap -> agility, hit -> crit), it can be difficult to tell if a different item really is an upgrade just because it has a higher item level.  The last thing you want to do is get a higher item level that actually makes you less effective and vendor/DE the old better item.

And very nearly every class/build should have some upgrades from the new 2.4 stuff.  For Siddin, I have 1 upgrade from SSC (T5 helm), 1 upgrade from TTK (T5 shoulders), and FOUR upgrades from 2.4 badges: gloves, chest, legs, ring.

actually theres a mod i have that does a stat breakdown and tells you whats better/worse about an item etc. Its called Rating Buster. you can get it from Curse but its an Ace mod for those of you use Ace updater. works great ^_^

I have been using rating buster for some time. That and max dps.com seems to work well.. BUT as a mage i dont agree with MAX dps with a few items but to each his own.. im not the expert when it comes to mages thats Jagors world im just living in it.. I havnt checked out the site for warriors yet has anyone looked to see what they have for dps warriors? Afganistan and that site dont work so well togerther..
