Well Grim myself and at least a few hundred folks cannot log onto WoW from some mysterious reason. From what I cant tell everyone that is routed through mdf001c7613r0004-gig-12-1.lax1.attens.net is having issues. This is a blizzard/at&t server which appears to have turned into some sort of black hole. All the ips surrounding it appear to be in LA which makes no sense why me in Arizona would be routed to LA to connect to a east cost server. So I have no idea how long this will last but yeah. If you are having issues this is why.
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5540036246&sid=1&pageNo=1 seems to be the only post with any blue post in it and as always Blizzard is chasing their tails.
And I will quote this post just cause it was rather humorous
Does anyone live within driving distance of mdf001c7613r0004-gig-12-1.lax1.attens.net [12.12
9.193.246] ?
If so, head over there, there's probably a big cable leading up to a tin shack full of Internet Stuff that somebody tripped over and unplugged.
Just plug the dang thing back in. And give the shack a kick just to make sure.
If the lights in the neighborhood dim a bit after you kicked it, and you hear a mew rhythmic humming, it means you've fixed the internet, and we thank you.
For those of us who don't know how to get googlemaps to accept an ip address, don't be givin Blizz a hard time 'bout testing their patch. It's probably a router owned by some ISP or backbone that they don't own. The fact that *nobody* on DSL or Dialup is complaining says something. Perhaps they have some leverage to lean on em, but it's Kind to assume they're tryin.
Though yes, some Blue acknowledgment would be nice, as would stopping telling people to reinstall Windows, delete their caches/wtf, immerse their PCs in mercury, post dxdiags, etc.
