Cruise Itinerary

So, I've booked a cruise for the Southern Carribeans in January and I'd love some input from anyone who's had any experience at these locations the ship will be docked at:

San Juan
St. Thomas
Dominica
Barbados
St. Lucia
Antiqua
St. Kitts

I'm attempting to make sure I experience the best of what each island has to offer and want to get the best bang for the buck.  For instance, St. Thomas is known for their shopping so I'd like a hint of what shops to look out for.  I'm not mister moneybags, so I can't go scuba diving everywhere, so knowing which locations have the more interesting/unique marine flora and fauna would be real helpful.  Things like that.  I appreciate any advice I can get.  Like knowing that I shouldn't (or rather tell others not to) wear camoflauge clothing due to some of the island's history and oppressor's garb.  I've never been on a cruise like this before or even out of the US.  I'll need to get my passport and I'm pretty sure that takes awhile to get.  Thanks in advance.   Tongue

Haven't you seen the movie Hitch-Hikers' guide to the galaxy? All you need is a towel man.

Actually if your looking for a decent vacation, go down to Costa Rica and through there go into Cuba!  It has a great nightlife and relaxing settings.  Be warned...you will have to Dance!!!!!  Make sure you take a few days in Costa Rica to see Angel Falls and other stuff!  Spanish is good to know too that and Russian!

Thanks for your input, Arnes, but it's already set in stone.  It'll be my first time on an airplane and my first time out of the country, so I'll definitely find enjoyment out of it.  I might try Costa Rica some other time.   Maybe when I've learned how to dance!  Tongue

Why won't you think I'll like St. Lucia?  I planned on doing some hiking there in the rainforest and seeing the volcano.  It's actually one of the places I'm looking forward to most.  Eventhough their official language is English, I'm hoping I can pick up some Antillean Creole from my four years of French.  Man, I knew I should have paid better attention.
